Certification (confirmation of conformity) is documented evidence that products or other objects, production, operation, storage, transportation, sale and disposal processes, works performed, or services provided meet the requirements of technical regulations, standards provisions, or contract terms.
At the applicant's initiative and under a certification services agreement, voluntary confirmation is carried out for products and services with respect to the Halal canons of Islam (HALAL), the "North Caucasus Halal Standard" ROSS RU.32930.04КСХ0 dated January 26, 2024, and the SMIIC standard of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries under the Organization of Islamic Cooperation OIC/SMIIC 1:2019 "General Requirements for Halal Food". The procedure for confirming conformity of products and services to the Halal canons of Islam within the voluntary certification system consists of the following stages of certification procedures, certificate issuance, and control:
Certification procedure
01
Acceptance, registration, and review of the application
To perform certification works for products and services, the applicant submits an application to the "North Caucasus Halal Certification Center" using the established form. The applicant attaches documents to the application: an annex with company details, a list of products indicating their composition and certifiable services, a brief description of production and proposed services, as well as constituent documents.
After acceptance, registration, and review of the documents attached to the application, the "North Caucasus Halal Certification Center" sends a paid certification services agreement and an invoice for payment.
02
Application analysis and enterprise identification
After signing the agreement and staged payment of the certification cost, our specialists begin analyzing the application with the attached documents and identifying the products and services declared for voluntary certification. (During the study of product composition and certifiable services, a specialist may request additional information regarding raw materials and ingredients used in production and the applicant's ability to provide services in accordance with the requirements of the Halal standard.)
The result of this stage is a specialist's conclusion on whether the composition of the declared products and certifiable services complies or does not comply, for making a decision on the application.
03
Enterprise inspection and certificate issuance
Following a positive decision on the application, specialists of the "North Caucasus Halal Certification Center" conduct an audit of the enterprise in accordance with the inspection program.
During the audit, special attention is paid to the enterprise's control over the quality and safety of products and services, the conformity of the composition submitted for review with the raw materials and ingredients actually used at the enterprise, the identification of suppliers of raw materials and ingredients, and ensuring traceability at all stages.
Based on the audit results, an audit report is prepared indicating the results, references to supporting documents and materials, and, if necessary, deadlines for eliminating identified nonconformities.
After a decision to issue a certificate is made based on the analysis of the audit report and other documents provided by the applicant as evidence of compliance of products and services with established requirements, the applicant is issued a "Halal" certificate from the "North Caucasus Halal Certification Center" confirming the possibility of producing Halal products and providing Halal services, and permission to use the conformity mark, followed by entering information about the certified enterprise into the register.
